Become a Certified Face Fit Tester with Our Train the Trainer Course
Book Face Fit Train the Trainer Course Today
Gain the skills, knowledge, and certification needed to carry out in-house face fit testing for your team — saving time, cost, and improving compliance.
If your organisation regularly uses tight-fitting RPE, having an in-house certified face fit tester is a smart and cost-effective way to stay compliant with HSE guidelines and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations.
Our Face Fit Test – Train the Trainer course equips selected staff with the skills to competently perform qualitative face fit testing (typically used for disposable and reusable half-mask respirators). This practical, hands-on course is ideal for supervisors, safety managers, or designated team leads responsible for health and safety.
Attendees will learn how to prepare test equipment, conduct correct testing procedures, record results, troubleshoot common issues, and ensure masks are suitable for each wearer. On completion, they will be confident and qualified to deliver in-house face fit testing sessions and issue valid certification.
Our Process
- Course Booking & Pre-Assessment
We assess the candidate’s background to ensure suitability and confirm whether testing equipment is available or required.
- In-Depth Theory Session
The trainer covers legal responsibilities, COSHH regulations, types of RPE, and when/how to conduct face fit testing.
- Hands-On Practical Training
Delegates practice setting up kits, testing real wearers, and navigating pass/fail scenarios using qualitative testing methods.
- Documentation & Record-Keeping
We teach best practices for completing test records, issuing certificates, and maintaining compliance with audit standards.
- Assessment & Certification
Each delegate is assessed through a practical demonstration and receives a certificate as a Competent Person for Face Fit Testing.
